At Skelmanthorpe Academy, we aim to educate and nurture every child, ensuring they acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be successful in the future. A great team of dedicated and hard-working teachers, teaching assistants and support staff strive to ensure that your children have the best educational experience that can possibly have. We strongly believe that it is only by working in partnership with parents that we can provide the combination of challenge, support, encouragement and praise that will ensure that all our pupils fulfil their potential. We are lucky enough to have good support from many parents in school and our parent group, FOTS, work closely with school and many events are organised that draw the whole school family together as often as possible. We are committed to ensuring the best possible care and education for our children and we are continually looking for ways to improve and develop what we do, in order to make our school the best it can possibly be.

Scissett Church of England Academy is a Primary Academy for pupils aged 4-10 and serves a semi-rural community. The Academy is 1 form entry with 6 classes and pupils leave at the end of Y5. Christian ethos and values are at the heart of the school. Academy aims are rooted in “Excellence for the whole child’ and encompass high standards and high expectations, and a ‘children come first’ philosophy, with an emphasis on provision of high quality learning experiences. High emphasis is placed on developing positive relationships where everyone is valued in a climate of mutual trust and respect. Scissett Church of England Academy has strong links with the local community, church and parish which enriches pupils’ religious, spiritual, moral and social education.

 

Helme C of E Academy serves the rural communities surrounding Meltham in the Holme Valley, and is for pupils aged 4-11 years old. At Helme we believe it is the role of our school to work in partnership with parents to nurture and develop the whole child, by supporting each child to thrive academically, emotionally, spiritually and physically to enable them to achieve their full potential based. Helme C of E Academy has strong links with the local church, parish and community and we have a very supportive parents group, FOHS, whose events support school whilst drawing our community together. Helme has adopted the Paralympic and Olympic values of respect, excellence, equality, determination, courage, inspiration and friendship and we are proud that these support and promote the strong Christian ethos of our school which underpins all that we do.

Saint Aidan’s Church of England Academy is a primary academy serving the semi- rural community of Skelmanthorpe. The Academy admits pupils from the age of 4 (reception) until the age of 10 (Year 5). It is a one form entry academy of 6 classes. Saint Aidan’s Church of England Academy is proud of its Christian ethos and the Christian values that are held at the heart of our school. Our focus on developing the whole child is encapsulated in our mission statement “Love, Laugh, Learn, Live!” Through excellent relationships and mutual respect we work hard to develop the gifts and talents of every child and to support them to be the best that they can be academically, socially, spiritually and personally. 

 

New Mill Schools are situated between the village of New Mill and the town of Holmfirth, both located in the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley which is just north of the Peak District in West Yorkshire. We are very lucky to have our schools situated in such beautiful surroundings.

Our schools pride themselves on being thoroughly inclusive schools, where every child is valued and children’s well-being is at the heart of everything.

New Mill Junior School is a two form entry school with 240 places for pupils aged 7 to 11.

The schools are based on two separate, but nearby, sites. They share a Headteacher and Governing Body and work closely together.

The staff, governors, parents and carers are all dedicated to working together to enable the pupils to become confident, happy and independent learners and to making the schools a positive, creative and supportive community. The two schools work closely together to ensure that children transition smoothly from one to the other for the next stage of their educational journey.

St Augustine’s is situated in West Central Halifax and serves a local community where children from different faiths, backgrounds and abilities learn, grow in confidence, socialise and play together. We are a diverse, church school and embed Christian values into all aspects of school life. With fifteen languages spoken in school, our four core Christian Values are at the centre of everything that we do - Friendship, Honesty, Respect and Care. At the heart of our vision is our focus on Learning for Life and living out our statement “Love your neighbour as yourself” as we serve our community and support our families. We are a single form entry school with single age classes in the morning and some split age classes in the afternoons. Kaye's Academy is situated in Clayton West, Huddersfield surrounded by rural countryside and welcome children from Nursery through to Year 5 with a current pupil total of 190.  Kaye’s is a friendly village school which is situated on the West/South Yorkshire border with the towns of Huddersfield, Barnsley and the city of Wakefield within easy access.  A former mining village with textile mills and a railway, Clayton West is steeped in history. At Kaye’s we provide an engaging, fun and warm learning environment, where everyone is valued, nurtured and does their best.  Together we work with our families and the community to develop aspiration, promote kindness and include everyone.  The curriculum is based around the children’s interests and delivered by a dedicated enthusiastic team of staff who are immensely proud that children love coming to school, engage in their learning, behave well, and demonstrate high levels of respect.  Kaye’s Association of Friends (KAF) are the PTA who have played an integral part of the school community for many years raising funds for equipment/resources and maintaining the strong link between home and school.

Lowerhouses CE Junior Infant & Early Years School is located in a residential district of Huddersfield on a wooded hillside approximately 1 mile from the town centre. Lowerhouses CE (VC) School welcomes children from the community whatever their religious or cultural beliefs from Nursery to Year 6. We provide all members of our school with the opportunity to develop their spirituality and a sympathetic understanding of faith. Christian values underpin the ethos of the school and these values are reinforced through teaching and learning.  It is our aim to provide for pupils an atmosphere, practice and education in which their spiritual life and experience will develop. Our worship is of a high quality and intentionally impacts on the whole school community.  Our School Vision of 'Working and achieving together to enrich lives and nurture bright futures' is based on our core Christian values of; Trust and truthfulness, Forgiveness, Friendship, Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility.

Luddenden Church of England primary school is at the heart of Luddenden community and provides a safe, creative environment where children are inspired, enthused and equipped to fulfil their potential and go out into the world and make a difference; where individuality is embraced, talents unleashed and a love of learning is ignited.

We are an inclusive school and we warmly welcome children and families of all backgrounds and faiths. We have 210 places from Nursery to Year 6 and have a mix of single and mixed age classes. Earlsheaton Infant School is a friendly and nurturing school located in a small village near the centre of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. We cater for children aged 4 to 7 and currently have 120 places in 4 classes, some mixed-age.

We offer a broad and stimulating curriculum which features many aspects of our local history and geography. We place a great emphasis on Communication skills, as we know that being able to read fluently, write clearly and speak enthusiastically are tools that last a lifetime. Oak CE Primary School is an inclusive two form primary school in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield where we celebrate the richly diverse multicultural community. We work in partnership with parents and the community to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment for all our pupils and staff.
